Project Pegasus
During SideFX Project Pegasus, the Flora toolkit was created. This toolkit has inspired the origin of Natsura.

At Natsura, our mission is to give artists powerful new tools that offer complete creative control and let you shape your own workflow.
We believe people belong at the centre of creativity, and that technology should serve you, not replace you. Our design philosophy draws on music, games and, of course, the natural world. Natsura unlocks new creative and technical possibilities and makes the work more rewarding: easy to pick up, with a real route to mastery, whether you're a solo artist or a large studio.

Natsura is entirely self-funded. Our only investors are our users, and the only people shaping our tools are our team and the artists and studios who use them. That gives us the time and freedom to build things properly.
We're building Natsura as a worker-owned co-operative. No one here will earn many times more than their colleagues, and decisions about profits and the future of the company will rest with the people who work here. For studios, that means Natsura won't be sold to the highest bidder. We're here for the long run.
We're unashamedly idealistic about what we're building, and how we're building it. We're also pragmatic and persistent, and so far that has served us well.

From being frustrated tool users to building a tool.
During SideFX Project Pegasus, the Flora toolkit was created. This toolkit has inspired the origin of Natsura.

After a year of development, SideFX invites the team to present their progress.

Thanks to SideFX George and Feike had the opportunity to put Natsura to the test on Project Elderwood.

Natsura 0.4 opens Early Access with scan processing tools, decorations, meshing, and expanded species recipes. This is the moment user feedback started to get incorporated heavily, and Cosku Turhan began to blow the teams mind with his incredible tree studies.

Natsura website launches, and the tools becomes available for commercial use. Studios start putting it into real production.
