Magnet Effector
User-placed sphere of influence in the viewport. Pulls or pushes branches within its radius.
Experimental. The effector framework continues to expand. Parameters and behaviour may change.
The Magnet Effector is a user-placed sphere of influence in the viewport. A magnet pulls or pushes branches within the sphere's radius; branches outside are unaffected. Multiple magnets can be placed, each with its own radius and strength.
Parameters
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | The effector instance name. |
| Position | World-space centre of the sphere of influence. |
| Radius | Sphere radius; branches outside are unaffected. |
| Strength | How strongly the magnet pulls (or pushes, depending on response mode). |
Modes / States
- A viewport handle places and positions the sphere: click to place, drag to position, and set radius and strength on the handle. Branches inside the radius respond.
Kill
Immediately halts future growth on branches that meet specific conditions, preventing further elongation or splitting. Distinct from Prune, which can also remove existing geometry over time.
Map
Mapping utility for driving sockets. Applies one operation (constant, attribute, or randomize) and blends the result linearly.
