Scan Profiles

Scan Profiles picks the open ends of a scanned trunk where procedural growth will continue.

Scan Profiles picks the open ends of a scan where procedural growth will continue. Each picked end becomes a profile, the start of a procedural tube that Create Graft Mesh prepares and a Trunk Decoration grows from.

You'll usually meet it as the Pick Profiles step of the Import Highpoly wizard, where you select the faces at the open ends and press Enter. Placed on its own, it takes a scan and stores the selection in Base Group; Group Type is Primitives by default, so you select faces.

Scan Profiles is experimental.

Scan Material

Scan Material assigns textures to a scan and lets you edit them in Copernicus before they're baked.

Scan Rig

Scan Rig gives a scanned section a skeleton by placing points down the centre of the tube, so Scan to Tube can rebuild it as a clean tube.
