Scan to Tube
Turns a rigged tubular section into a cleanly-UVed tube suitable as a tiling-texture source.
Scan to Tube turns a rigged tubular section (typically from Scan Rig) into a cleanly-UVed tube section suitable as a tiling-texture source.
Used in the tiling-texture extraction sub-workflow within the high-poly pipeline.
Inputs
A rigged tubular section from Scan Rig.
Outputs
A cleanly-UVed tube mesh. The output already tiles in its wrap direction because trees naturally wrap around the trunk axis; the wrap-axis tiling is implicit in the geometry. Length-axis tiling, if required, is handled at the Bake step via the "make it tile" option.
Notes
- Direct path to Bake: plug into the left input, with Scan to Parts on the right input.
- Or first into Scan to Patch to subdivide into a smaller feature region.
