Scan to Patch
Scan to Patch cuts a square patch out of a scanned tube, for a tiling texture of one bark feature or one that sits more easily beside other materials.
Scan to Patch cuts a square patch out of a tube from Scan to Tube, for a tiling texture of a smaller region than the whole wrap. Use it to capture one feature of the bark, such as a knot hole or a scar, or to get a square texture that sits more easily beside other materials. It's on the Natsura toolbar under Scans, and goes between Scan to Tube and Bake: Scan to Tube's first output goes into Scan to Patch's first input, and Scan to Patch's first output into Bake's first input. The steps are on the Scan to Tube page.
Placing the patch
With the node selected, press Enter in the viewport. Click on the tube to centre the patch there (Point), and scroll the mouse wheel to change its Size.
Status
