Trunk Decoration
The Trunk Decoration handles the hero parts of the tree, the trunk and major boughs. Over the basic surface it adds enhanced UV and displacement control, and it can mount baked high-poly bark from a scan or sculpt.

Feedback into growth
Unlike most decorations, which are pure post-process, the trunk decoration can push information back into the simulation: trunk width and profile, and start position and shape. That feedback enables scan-then-grow flows:
- Decorate a trunk, maybe from a scan.
- Use its shape to guide further growth (roots, branches, vines).
- Decorate again.
This is the mechanism behind trunk extension, where a scanned base is procedurally extended and the seam is blended with baked tiling textures. See Trunk Extension and the Bake reference.
For the node parameters, see Trunk Decoration.
Surface Decoration
Skin the grown skeleton into watertight trunk and branch surfaces, layered with bark detail and wearing a reusable Surface Resource.
Assembly Decoration
The default foliage tool: place pre-rigged library assemblies onto the skeleton by trait matching, preserving instancing and posing each piece without re-running the simulation.
